Aidan's a highly intelligent child and he's extremely gifted. He's articulate for his age, has excellent physical and cognitive
development. He's seven years old, but he's reading at a seventh grade level, and he absorbs information like a sponge - at
an extremely rapid rate! Most people around him find they have to work to keep up with his ravenous mind. Aidan has an excellent
memory, just like his brother. He can recall the Mickey Mouse shirt someone was wearing at a rest stop on the way to his grandparents.
You can't help but marveling at the attention to detail the child betrays almost all the time. It's a character trait of his
brother. And Aidan shares it, along with an abiding curiosity.

Pokémon is one of Aidan's favorite TV Shows; he knows all these strange little creatures names by heart.
Awhile ago Aidan received a pack of Pokémon cards as a birthday party favor. During the ride home he proceeded to enlighten
me as to their form, purpose and importance.
"These are Pokémon cards," he said. "You can read them. You can trade them. You can buy and sell them.
Some kids have thousands. Maybe even zillions. In a few years, if someone has a card in mint condition, they could sell it
for hundreds of dollars and be rich forever. This one here is Pikachu." He pointed to a creature that looked like a cross
between a Furby and a small terrier.
As you can probably tell, he was pretty excited about getting those cards.
Aidan's a big fan of dragons and he watches Dragon Tales every morning.
He can sometimes be superiorly arrogant and act like a know-it-all, but he's more often very kind and helpful. There is an
innate sweetness about the kid. Aidan's quite observant and appears especially sensitive to the needs and feelings of others.
Aidan absolutely loves everything about the world of Harry Potter. Hermione Granger is his favorite character.
Aidan's also a little Winnie the Pooh fan and likes to draw pics of Winnie and all his friends. Hailey and him both like Winnie
the Pooh and watch the movies together.
The kid definitely has a daredevil streak and he's been known to raise both blood pressures and eyebrows. He's very stubborn
and often recklessly willful. He's determined to have his own way and he doesn't like being told what to do, but he's also
a very bright, very verbal kid. And he responds well to reasoning and talking. There's one exception though, he's not especially
good or cooperative when he gets bored or tired.
Professor Lupin is Aidan's other favorite character from Harry Potter.
The kid loves to read and most of the time it's a real hassle to get him to stop. I've had to come up with more than one creative
method to get him to take a break.
Fantasy books are his favorite; his eyes will light up and he'll spend hours lost in other worlds. Aidan loves to talk
about books, and the characters in them and all the places that the books will take him.

The Harry Potter series, The Secret Garden, The Brothers Lionheart, The Enchanted Wood, The Magic Faraway Tree, The Folk of
